Today I built the wooden iHelper so it is all put together and looks really good, I did use it when I built it and it works very well! We put this together very well and it will stand up to a beating! Also it is very mobile and has many uses even for when laying in you bed using your laptop. We had to buy the wood which was expensive and thick! But overall the iHelper looks very good and it will work we did add a charger wrap on the iHelper we also worked and finished the final presentation we also went over and split up the time and slide amounts. We have decided that we will give a demonstration of the iHelper at the presentation. We are very ready to get this presented and done with, we have had our struggles with the iHelper but we prevailed!

New Style
Today we worked on the prices of what we are buying, we have all given $10 to buy the cost of the wood and paint. We were VERY confused on what we should buy, because a budget of paint cost over $35!!! EXPENSIVE!! So we said NO we are not buying that expensive paint. We found the thunderbird forest wood for $7.99 this wood was perfect in the size to work with to build the desk. We also found chrome paint for $5.49 this was cheap and it will look cool! So we have got a total of around $26.98 so we will cut it really close to the cost! We were so happy that we got it for the price we did, we are ready to build this desk over the holidays, we need to get this bought and done so we can relax and have fun over the christmas break!

Drawings!
Today I worked on the final drawing of our desk. I did change the bars to connect the desk to the iHelper, I changed them to be slanted and have a bar in the middle of them. These bars are like this to make the desk more stable. With those bars slanted then they have more area to work with also the bar across keeps these bars from moving closer or further away from each other. This idea seemed better to me and seemed a better and more efficient way to help the desk with the weight of the laptop on the iHelper. Will and Landon worked with the website Home Depot to find parts. We did find that the price dropped on the track systems we needed and also so did the sheet metal lowered also! We are very very surprised that it lowered and we were very happy.
This is NOT a gun!!!!!!!!!!

Problems!
We have worked on the measurements of the desks again. Also we found a problem, the time left to build…. this is because we worked until we perfected the design. This is a problem because we took up a BUNCH of time just planning the layout of the iHelper. This means the we do not think we have enough time to build the iHelper. This maybe the reason this project may go unfinished if we don’t HURRY!! We are also having problems finding track systems, only 2 weeks ago there were a large amount of track systems, now there is 3! 3!!! We may not be able to get track systems! This makes us very unhappy and confused at where all the tracks went! I retook the measurements of the desk to make triple sure that they were right. When we know we will have the time to build then we will all pitch in to help fun the desk. This is what we have done this week and as I promised here is the presentation!

Mock Up
Today I worked on the final model as you can see, Landon and Will finalized their slide show to be added to mine. What I did was put a model of the track systems and the hight we wanted and taped it down to make a rough model of the desk. We will be adding a video, because the desk actually moves!! We were very impressed that I got it to move side to side. We now need to start buying parts and make a final blueprint so we can begin to put the desk together! This is very important that we have our blueprint down right so there are no mistakes! This is VERY crucial to the building, I will be presenting our slide show on the 21st of November. I will add it to my Blogger, I will also get Will and Landon to add it to theirs also.

Staus Update In Progress
Today I worked on my speaking part of the status update. What I did was added some images and tested how long my part ran, mine ran at 1 minute and 26 seconds. This is the time stamp I needed. I hit the main points of the desk and then there will be detail added by Landon and Will. Next we will be finalizing the slide show and then we will present on November 21st. We have set up the slide show based on the outline, and Landon and Will are typing their parts and soon will combining all of our power points together to make one larger slide show. Also I put some images in the slide show to fill time and to represent what could happen if the iHelper isn’t been used. We also found a quote from Steve Jobs that inspired us to the design we have today, he has always said his product are clean looking, so we will be making the iHelper out of metal so it looks cleaner.

sorry for the rough example…. But this is the "picture" I am going to use! This is how we decided to place the track system so is moved cleanly and with out problems. We also had to think of the cost that we would have to put into the parts. We have also gotten over half way through the presentation! Be ready for the surprise, and I will put the presentation on the blogger for those who would like to know whats happening. This is what we did today in our 20% project today on 11/1/13.
